This week’s mantra takes October’s theme of releasing one step deeper – releasing the thoughts that limit you. How many times do you find yourself saying or recounting something from the past to then realize you’re keeping something alive that you don’t want to experience or feel anymore? If so, this week’s mantra is for you.
We all tell ourselves different stories, “I”m good at…,” “I’ve never been an athlete,” “I’ve had bad luck in…” or whatever you find yourself thinking and repeating to others. Some stories honor your greatness, others keep you small and limited. It’s time to let go of what’s keeping you trapped from your divine greatness.
The yoga practice connects you to your inner most thoughts and feelings. Once you’re aware that you want to experience a new story for yourself there are many ways to do it. One way is to repeat this mantra and be open to life showing you something different. Another way is to stop yourself from retelling the “negativity” of your past and to declare what you want to happen in the future. It’s about opening and creating a new expectation within yourself and feeling excited about it, no matter what.
This week when you’re on the mat, use this mantra. Envision and feel that something better than you’ve experienced is coming your way. Because it is. The ultimate gift is in realizing that you’re giving it to yourself through the breath, heart, and feeling you experience towards yourself and the world around you in every moment. It doesn’t come from out there, but it is reflected from “out there.” Let the mantra be a reminder of new possibilities to come, ones’ of your conscious choosing. You can have any story you want, choose the one that brings you the most joy and love.
